Prices, timelines, payments and how the AI agents work. If your question is not here, ask me through the contact form or email 98alanh@gmail.com. I read every message and reply by email.
Websites
How much does a website cost?
A landing page is $900. A landing page with all the copy written for you is $1,600. A small site of up to five pages is $2,900. Extras have flat prices: $150 for another revision round, $300 for each extra page, and 40% more for a rush job. See what each price includes.
Is the quote free?
Yes. The quote is free. After we talk, I email you a fixed price and a timeline within 24 hours. You owe nothing until you accept the quote. The quote stays open for 30 days.
How long does it take?
Your written quote states the timeline, before you pay anything. It depends on the size of the project and on how quickly your materials arrive. The timeline starts when your deposit clears and your materials arrive.
Why not Wix, Squarespace or a cheaper freelancer?
For some businesses, one of those is the right choice. Those tools start from a template, so your page starts from the same layouts that other businesses use. I start from your prices, your hours and the questions your customers ask. The result is a page built around your business, not around a template.
What do I need to provide?
Send your prices and hours, your logo if you have one, and photos of your work or your place. I also need access to your domain. No photos yet? I design the page so that you can add them later.
What happens after launch?
Every website includes a performance review 30 days after launch. With the small site, you can edit the text yourself. Extras have flat prices: $150 for an extra revision round and $300 for each extra page.
What does the 30-day review cover?
About 30 days after launch, I test your site again. I check the page speed, the contact form, how Google lists your site, and broken links. Then I send you a short written report with what I found and what to do next. For those 30 days, I also fix, at no charge, anything you report in writing that does not match your approved design. The review does not promise a ranking or a number of visitors. Read what the review includes.
AI agents
What is the difference between made-to-measure and custom?
A made-to-measure agent is one of six existing designs: FAQ and lead chat, booking, lead follow-up, review requests, spreadsheets and invoices, or a personal scheduler for creators. I fit it to your business at a fixed price. The setup fee depends on the job, from $750 to $1,250, and an Advanced agent adds $750. The monthly fee depends on how many conversations the agent handles: from $150 a month for up to 500, and from $300 a month for an Advanced agent that needs a stronger AI model. A custom agent is built from scratch around a process of yours. Its setup starts at $2,500. Its monthly price depends on the model and on how much the agent is used. Compare them.
How long does it take to set up an agent?
It depends on what the agent connects to, such as your calendar, inbox or CRM. Before launch, I fit every agent to your information and test it with your real customer questions. Your written quote states the setup time before anything starts.
What is the difference between a Standard and an Advanced agent?
A Standard agent runs on a lower-cost AI model. It suits short, repeated tasks. An Advanced agent runs on a stronger model. It suits long instructions, hard questions and workflows where several agents work together. The provider charges for all the text that an agent reads and writes, and that price is very different from one model to the next. I choose the model. I test the lowest-cost one that could do the job first, and I move up only if it fails the tests.
What is a token?
A token is a small piece of text, about three-quarters of a word. AI providers charge per million tokens that the agent reads (input) and writes (output). A typical conversation of 10 back-and-forths uses about 40,000 input tokens and about 3,000 output tokens. The input is larger because the agent reads its instructions and your information again each time.
Will my customers know that they are talking to an AI?
Yes, always. Every agent says that it is an AI in its first message, and it offers a way to reach a person. That is safer for you, and it builds trust.
What happens when a new AI model comes out?
New models come out every few weeks. I re-test your agent every month. When a newer or lower-cost model passes your tests, I recommend the switch. If I move your agent to a new model in the same class, your price stays the same. If the price of a plan changes, I give you 30 days’ notice, and you can cancel before it starts. The price in your written quote is the one that applies.
What if I get more conversations than my plan includes?
If one month goes over your band, that month costs the next band’s price. I tell you when it happens. Your spending cap still applies. Above 4,000 conversations a month, your agent is priced as a custom agent, based on the use you expect each week. The estimator shows about what that costs on each model.
Can I cancel an AI agent?
Yes. Once your agent is live, you can cancel at any time, and there is no cancellation fee. Send an email to 98alanh@gmail.com or use the contact form. Your agent keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for. For 30 days after that, you can ask me for your conversation logs and the information you approved. If you stop before your agent is live, the terms for the setup fee apply. Read the cancellation terms.
Can an agent handle health, legal or financial information?
Only when the right agreements are in place. For health information, that means a HIPAA business associate agreement, on an AI service that covers the exact model. Ask first. We will find out what is possible before I build anything.
Working together
Who will I work with?
You work with me, Alan Herrera, from the first conversation to launch and after. Strykia is a one-person studio.
Do I own the website?
Yes. Your domain and hosting are in your name, on your card. The files are yours when you make the final payment.
What does hosting cost?
Your site runs on a Netlify account in your name. Most small sites fit Netlify’s free plan. Netlify sets the plan limits, and a very busy site could need a paid plan. Your domain name is a separate cost, and the company where you buy it usually bills once a year. For an AI agent, hosting is part of the monthly fee.
How do payments work?
For a website, you pay 50% to start and 50% before it goes live. For an agent, your written quote states the setup fee and the monthly fee before anything starts. The monthly fee starts on the day your agent goes live.
Do you only work with businesses in Salem?
