What a full service is
The standard mark
“Service” means very different things at different counters. Here it means the same nine steps on every mechanical watch, and you get them in writing on the estimate.

- 2Take it apart completelyEvery wheel, bridge, spring and screw out of the case.
- 3CleanUltrasonic baths, then each part dried and checked again.
- 4Replace what is wornMainspring, gaskets, crown seal as needed. Quoted before ordering.
- 5Rebuild and lubricateSeveral oils and greases, each where the movement’s maker specifies.
- 6Regulate in six positionsDial up, dial down, and crown up, down, left and right.
- 7Test water resistancePressure and vacuum, where the case is meant to be sealed.
- 8Run for a weekOn the winder and on the bench before the final reading.
- 9Print the proofBefore and after readings go back to you with the watch.

Tell us about the watch
We reply by email within two working days with what we think it needs and a written price range. If you choose the mail-in kit, it ships the next working day.
If it was someone’s before it was yours, say so. Engravings, old straps and boxes are kept exactly as they came.
